A Model for the Future: YSF Cluster Programs
YSF is providing standards-based, sequential arts education programming to students in grades 5-12. We do this by tracking students from Elementary, to Middle and through High School and offering them access to our three main programs. Upon matriculation, our students join a robust learning community of alumni across Los Angeles. These students participate in community building activities that increase their exposure to the arts, receive industry focused Master Classes, attend the NYFA Summer Camp at Universal Studios, and are hired as paid summer program teaching artists and documentarians for the Young Storytellers Foundation. Additionally, high school students who attend college are eligible for professional internships within the entertainment industry provided by our Hollywood corporate partners. Additionally, we have a seat on our Board of Directors that is reserved for an alumni of our programs.
