We at The Young Storytellers Foundation (“YSF”) respect your concerns about privacy and value the trust you have placed in us.  This Privacy Policy applies to all of the products and services offered by YSF. This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we collect, how we may use that information, and with whom we may share it.  YSF’s Privacy Notice also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the information.

YSF collects personally identifying information and data about individuals, their company, and the companies demographics (“personally identifying information and data”) including (i) when you provide information to YSF, such as when you sign up for any of our products, such as publications, emails, newsletters and other communications with YSF; (ii) when you register or sign up on the YSF site, your information will be known to YSF and (iii) from time to time we may add other information that we collect from third party sources to enhance the information that you provided to YSF.

Below is the current policy regarding the usage of personally identifying information and data collected by YSF. We reevaluate this policy on an ongoing policy and YSF reserves the right to change its privacy policy. YSF’s products, services, promotions and programs will change over time.   This Privacy Policy will be updated periodically to reflect those changes and corresponding changes in our information practices.  Whenever we revise this Privacy Policy, we will change the date on the policy to indicate when the revisions were made.  We reserve the right to change our information practices and the terms of this Privacy Policy, and to apply the changed practices to all information we have about you.

YSF or third party partners may place a “cookie” in the browser files of a user’s computer. The cookie itself does not contain any personally identifying information, except when such information has been supplied by a subscriber or registered user. If you have registered with YSF, the information in your “cookie” is used to provide a more personalized experience on our Web site.

If you haven’t registered with our site, we may place a cookie on your system to help provide a more personalized experience on www.youngstorytellers.com. This cookie identifies you as a unique user by means of a tracking ID. However, if you have not registered on our site, we cannot link that user ID with personal identifying information and data about you such as your name or e-mail address.

This information may also be used to enroll YSF mentors and youth participants, enable you to make donations to YSF, and enable contact with YSF mentors and alumni,

Postal addresses, and other personally identifying information and data will be used to promote www.youngstorytellers.com and YSF’s programs and services.

Telephone numbers and fax numbers of www.youngstorytellers.com are used by YSF to collect qualification data and may be used by www.youngstorytellers.com for promotional purposes.

E-mail addresses of www.youngstorytellers.com users are used for qualification purposes. These e-mail addresses may also be used to collect feedback by members of our staff, to promote www.youngstorytellers.com and YSF’s programs and services. When you provide your email address to us, you agree to receive email from www.youngstorytellers.com.

Personal identifying information submitted on portions of our site developed with outside third parties may be shared with those third parties, and the information will be governed by those parties’ privacy policies as well as YSF’s. YSF does not bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of such third parties.

Users of www.youngstorytellers.com should be aware that when they disclose personal identifying information (e.g., user name, address, company name, telephone number, demographic information, other data and E-mail address) in discussion forums, chat rooms or other areas that are publicly accessible by others, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or parties. YSF is not responsible for any information that you provide in the above areas.

YSF does not knowingly collect information from children through its website and does not target its website to children even though our products and services may ultimately be used by children in an educational environment. We encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. YSF does, through the course of our customer relationship, collect data about the implementation of our products and services. This data collection may include the compiling of student evaluation scores for use in evaluating the success of our products and services.

YSF may also collect audio, video and photographs describing and displaying the use of products and services in the classroom. In such instances, a separate release will be requested of participants. This release will more clearly describe the collection and use of these images.

Please rest assured that YSF will not give your information to any third party other than as described above for any reason. In addition, no YSF staff member will ever ask you for your password, credit card numbers, social security number or any other confidential information, other than as described above.

YSF safeguards your information using known encryption, security standards and procedures. We also assess new technology for protecting customer information on an ongoing basis.

YSF website may contain links to other websites that operate independently of YSF and are not under our control.   We provide links to those sites solely for your convenience and information. Those sites have their own privacy notices, which we suggest you review if you visit any linked sites. YSF is not responsible for information that is provided by those sites or for any other use of the sites.
