Dominique Cojuangco is a pretty neat human. A writer, actor, and director, Dominique has packed a lot into 15 years of life. She also happens to be the first Young Storyteller to complete the Student Cycle, meaning she’s taken part in each of our three core programs (Script to Stage, Movie Makers, and P.O.V.).
Now, Dominique can add “film festival veteran” to her list of accolades, having just screened her P.O.V. short film project, “Color Culture,” at the LA Film Festival’s Future Filmmakers Showcase (aka The High School Shorts Program). An active, essential voice on behalf of Asian American / Pacific Islander visibility in media, Dominique also received an official recognition of her artistic contributions from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
We couldn’t be prouder of Dominique or her growing creative voice! You can check out her film “Color Culture” about the struggle for identity as a budding Asian American actress, below.
