This Spring, more than 1000 6th grade students in LAUSD participated in StoryLab, a program designed by Young Storytellers in partnership with Warner Bros., DC Comics, and LAUSD.
In the program, students explored the origin stories of DC Comics superheroes and analyzed the struggles that enabled them to create their super powers. Then, the students went through personal exploration to identify struggles from their own lives. The students used those struggles as inspiration to create autobiographical superheroes based on their lives with unique superpowers that will make the world a better place.
