For the sixth consecutive year, Young Storytellers received a generous grant from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in support of our Script to Stage Program.

During the course of the evening, celebrities like Ava Duvernay, Kumail Nanjiani, Dustin Hoffman, Chadwick Boseman, Chelsea Handler, Patrick Stewart and many more accepted checks from the HFPA for initiatives that included higher education, film preservation, training and mentoring, and the promotion of cultural exchange. By the time the final curtain bowed, over $2.8 million dollars had been given away to entertainment-related charities. Other grantees included our esteemed partners and friends at American Film Institute, Inner-City Arts, CalArts, Sundance Institute, Ghetto Film School, OUTFEST, Kids in the Spotlight, American Cinematheque, among others.
