Our Honorees

Jamie Tarses, Storyteller of the Year

Jamie Tarses was an accomplished television producer and studio executive, one of the first women to run a major Hollywood studio — and a passionate advocate for storytelling and the arts. She shaped arts access in Los Angeles by serving on the Young Storytellers Board of Directors. In this role, she brought countless people into our community and grew our mission. We are so excited to honor Jamie Tarses as this year's Storyteller of the Year!

Relive Last Year's Magic

A huge thank you to everyone that made Spookiest Show a success, from the cast, to all those who attended in person or tuned in online, to our sponsors, to our volunteers and staff that make Young Storytellers happen - and of course most of all, our amazing students!

We honored Jason Blum (founder and CEO of Blumhouse) as Storyteller of the Year, presented by Josh Hutcherson (Hunger Games, Five Nights at Freddy’s).

We were blown away by everyone’s support. With your help, we were able to raise $270,000 in support of our programming here in Los Angeles and beyond.
