Head Mentor Information Session
The Head Mentor position is a special and rewarding part of our YS community. Serving as the primary source of information and leadership for mentors and students in the program, the head mentor serves as a liaison between the elementary school, the mentors, and the YS program staff.
They are the main organizers of the program at each school, the leaders, managers and primary recruiters of mentors for their team. They lead each session, following the YS curriculum and they are essential to keeping the program running smoothly, in line with the YS worldview.
At the core of their role, the head mentor oversees the group of writers and mentors, empowering each of their individual growth, discovery and creativity, as well as fostering a sense of community and a place for each of them to belong.
