OUR PROGRAMS
At Young Storytellers, it’s simple:
Kids work with mentors to explore their own experiences, write their own story, share it with others, and see it come to life.

Everything we do:
Develops confidence in one’s voice.
Enables storytelling as a universal skill.
Mentors and teaches collaboratively.
Fosters connection and belonging.
Empowers diverse new perspectives.
one-day workshops
A taste of the magic.
Our storytelling workshops distill our full-length storytelling curriculum into just a few hours, and guide participants through the basics of story structure, how to identify and write about themes in their own lives, and how to visualize their story ideas. Workshops can be done with young people and/or adults who want a fun and meaningful team-building experience.
Multi-week Programs
Stories to activate imagination and identity.
Our signature Common Core-aligned curriculum, Script to Stage, uplifts student voices as they craft stories based on important lessons from their own lives, build characters with strong motivations, and find solutions to challenges through metaphor. Flexible to adapt to class sizes, age groups, and site locations, this program is at the core of what we do.
Training
Resources for leaders.
We’ll pass our 25+ years of storytelling expertise on to you through our curriculum and training, so you can lead your own group of Young Storytellers! Multimedia lessons, activities, and educator resources are available online on various digital learning platforms. We can also provide hands-on in-person or virtual trainings for your organization - reach out to find out more.
All of our programs are aligned with Common Core and CASEL’s SEL Framework, National Core Arts Standards, and California Arts Standards, and integrate Social Justice Standards as outlined by Learning for Justice.
