Community Gift 2022

Last year, we committed to begin giving financial gifts to local organizations each year, particularly those that are BIPOC-led, BIPOC-serving, and those that provide services that address the overall wellness of our students. As part of our anti-racism and equity work, we recognized that though we’re a nonprofit organization, an entity not usually associated with power - we do have access to resources. We also know that the services we provide address only a part of our students' needs.

This year, we put out a call for nominations from our community. Each recipient will receive $2,500. We’re pleased to announce the recipients of our Community Gifts this year, as selected by the Awards and Gifts Committee:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) is a youth empowerment organization whose mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Kids in The Spotlight

KITS helps foster youth heal and grow from trauma through the power of storytelling and filmmaking.

LIFT - Los Angeles

LIFT's mission is to break that cycle by investing in parents. They build families’ well-being, financial strength, and social connections to lift two generations at once.

We encourage you to find out more about them, volunteer, and support them! We’re so grateful to be doing work alongside such inspiring community leaders.
